Your contracts and quotes live in Word, but the values that fill them live on a board. Obsign generates the PDF from the item you are looking at, using the .docx you already use, and then keeps that document tied to the board it came from. When a version has been approved, you can ask whether the board has changed since.

How it works
  • STEP 01
    Upload the template you already use

    Upload a .docx you work in today, a contract, a quote, a work order. Obsign reads the placeholders out of it. Nothing to rebuild, no editor to learn.

  • STEP 02
    Map each placeholder to a column, once

    Point every placeholder at the board column that holds its value. Subitems map to repeating table rows, so line-item documents come out with the right number of rows. You do this once per template.

  • STEP 03
    Generate for any item

    Anyone can open an item, click Generate, and get a PDF filled with that item's real values. Rendering runs server-side through LibreOffice, so the PDF matches your Word layout instead of an HTML approximation of it.

  • STEP 04
    Approve, seal, and check for drift

    Give a template an approval policy and name the approvers in order. Generating then creates a version that goes to the first approver, and monday notifies whoever is up next. The approved PDF is the exact file that was reviewed, never re-rendered. Every approved version keeps the board values it was built from, so Check board drift can name the fields that changed since approval.

What it does not do, on purpose
  • · It never changes your column values, and it never creates columns.
  • · Writing back is explicit: attach to a file column you pick, post to item updates, or deliver on approval. Each is off until you turn it on.
  • · It uses no automation or integration recipes, so it consumes none of your monthly action quota.
  • · It keeps nothing outside monday, apart from the conversion step described in our privacy policy.

Obsign is free to install and use while it is in its first release. Paid plans and usage limits will arrive later, billed through the monday marketplace, and we will publish them here before they take effect.
